FUCK! PISS! CRAP!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I received my second &#8220;sorry you didn&#8217;t get picked for the <i>Rising Stars of Manga<\/i> anthology&#8221; letter from Tokyopop today. I <b>may<\/b> enter the contest a third time this summer, but that is definitely it. I will not be rejected by them four times.<\/p>\n<p>The funny thing is I never seem to win contests for things I actually care about. In college I had to take a couple journalism classes to fulfill my broadcasting degree requirements. I couldn&#8217;t care less about journalism, but the only journalism contest in which I have ever participated I came away with a prize. I didn&#8217;t even know I was in the contest. Comic contests and similar things, on the other hand, where I work furiously to make something I care about ends in rejection.
